This will not be applicable under the following scenarios:. Example: Horse XYZ qualified and earns 24 points as above. A horse that is scratched due to a change of trainer will remain liable to the appropriate scratching penalties, unless such horse has been transferred to an interstate trainer, in which case the scratching penalty may be lifted upon approval from the Stewards. Scratchings effected after 8.
